When choosing between various bathroom suites, the first choice you have to make generally involves the bath, as this is often the main piece of furniture in a bathroom. You can choose from traditional or very modern baths, but the size of the available space is probably the first thing you should consider.
If space is limited, you might be better off with a shower enclosure. For larger bathrooms it comes down to personal choice as you can consider a freestanding bath that can be placed anywhere, even as a centrepiece. The types of baths you can select, it is possible to vary from the traditional acrylic, or if you prefer, you could try cast iron for a luxurious feel which is also extremely durable, or natural stone which is another long-lasting and attractive choice. Copper is unique and very eye-catching and can retain a great deal of heat.
Toilets and Basins
Once you have decided on your choice of bath, the toilet and basin can be selected to fit with your chosen theme. Your new toilet could be hung from the wall, perfect for minimalist bathrooms with clean lines, or it could be a back-to-wall toilet which is ideal for the smaller bathroom as the cistern can largely be concealed behind cabinets or walls. The traditional close-coupled toilet can be the perfect choice if you have designed your bathroom with a vintage feel, and you can choose between modern push-button controls or the more established handle.
Choosing between a pedestal basin or wall hung option can be decided upon depending on your other needs. If you would like to have a cabinet to store personal items then a basin attached to the wall above could be perfect. Alternatively, you could choose a counter-top basin or even one inset into your choice of cabinet. Don’t forget, if you are a busy household or just want that little bit of personal space, you could even have dual sinks or double basins installed.
